Redevelopment Church Corner Six years ago the members of the Church met to discuss the Mission of the church and the vision for the future. We confirmed our commitment to serve the people of Clapham and to be a Christian presence in the High Street. We looked for ways of being more effective in our work and started to make plans.

Our present premises are in constant use by Church groups, youth organisations and community groups and we do not have sufficient space to do all the things we would like to do. Our present Church building was opened in 1962 and is in need of decoration and refurbishment. It needs a new heating system, new lighting and new seating to make it a more flexible and attractive place for worship. We also need disabled access. Our present lobby is far too small for the large congregation meeting each Sunday morning and has little other use.
Redevelopment Construction
So the plan for refurbishment and development was created.

We plan to refurbish the Church building and to build a large narthex on the car park. This will be a meeting place for Church members and visitors, and a flexible space for use by the community. It will link the Church with the High Street and will enable us to expand our community work. This is a very exciting scheme.

Our congregation has been working hard to raise the money and we trust that building work will begin in the near future.
